A 31-year-old woman, described as an instructional coach at Mountain View High School, has been arrested after being caught in a park with a juvenile male.
A Loveland Police Officer approached a vehicle parked at North Lake Park at 10:40 p.m. Friday after the park had closed, according to a release from the Loveland Police Department. Inside the car were two people, the 31-year-old woman and a juvenile male, officers say.
The woman has been identified as Courtney Bowles of Fort Collins, an instructional coach at Mountain View High School.
Courtney was immediately arrested and faces charges for sex assault, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and sex assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. All charges are felonies.
According to the release, the initial investigation suggests this was an isolated incident and the department does not believe there are any further victims.
Loveland Police say they contacted the Thompson School District about the investigation.
A 9NEWS viewer says he received an automated phone call from the Thompson School District. In the message, Mountain View High School’s principal notified parents about the arrest of the instructional coach.
Bowles has been taken to the Larimer County Detention Center. Loveland Police will meet with the Larimer County District Attorney’s Office next week for the filing of formal charges.
